GR Thunder front office and coaching staff will be introduce Feb. 8th, 2010 on their new live show starting at 7pm. You can tune to channel 25 on comcast or your local cable tv (GRTV). Any questions please contact Ed or Kevin Adams ( GR Thunder, Heads of Media)

Great Turn out-Date of 1st Try-out!!!

GR Thunder had a great turnout for its 1st team meeting of 2010 season. There we 20 NEW players interested in joining GR Thunder for 2010 season along with more who were not able to make it but are coming out to 1st try out.
GR Thunder will hold its 1st TRY-OUT of 2010 season on March 14th, 2010 @ 1pm. Cost: $35 which includes a Thunder t-shirt (also this money will go towards your player fee) Location: Woodland Sports. Any questions please contact Tony Kellogg @ 616-813-2508.

I am making forms for player information and it is very important for all players to make sure they fill out their full name and say yes to the "Are you a player" selection. Grand Rapids Thunder football team will be conducting a team meeting on February 6th, 2010 @ Woodland Sports Complex at 1pm. Team Owner Tony Kellogg and the coaching staff is inviting all returning and new players to attend this important meeting. Palm Bowl dvds are now avalible!

DVDs of the Palm Bowl are availble for $10. The dvd includes the palm bowl and over an hour of extras. Taking orders NOW and DVDs will be avalible for pick up at team meeting feb. 6th.

Grand Rapids Thunder Football

This Semi-Pro football team is located in Grand Rapids Michigan.


The Grand Rapids Thunder is a semi-pro team that started in 2003. Based on the concept of helping area athletes get to the next level of competition that for many reasons did not go to college or are back from college and want to continue to play.


Thunder has just wrapped up its 6th season. In 2009 season Thunder has posted 14-5 record with a post season Mid-State Tournament Championship. In 6 years GR Thunder has a total record of 74 wins and 17 losses. Four years in the MLFL and two years in the USFA while playing in Four Divisional Championships and two trips to the league championship. Starting in 2010 Grand Rapids Thunder football team will be competing in Great Midwest Football League ( GMFL).


The Thunder is committed to helping the players and staff to get to the level of coaching or professional play they are working to complete.


Our organization also looks to help out the community by providing training camps and assisting in special community activities.


We welcome all who come to join the Thunder and hope the community will support us in our goal to help athletes succeed.
